There are trwo beaches devided by a small jungle. The local authority has built a fibre bridge on a concrete support to link both beaches. Walk along the bridge, if you are lucky, you will meet with beautiful flowers and naughty monkeys.

Kuantan is a safe harbour for many boats and fishing trollers, primarilly because it sits on the South China Sea but is protected by a small pennisula which is also the start of the S Kuantan River. This makes for the perfect shelter against storms, and also makes for a nice place to have a small harbour setting.
On this harbour is a very nice walkway for you to take a stroll while in Kuantan. The city council has done a very good job of building up this riverfront area to make a nice place to walk. One of the things that was a little disappointing though was that other than the walkway there was not much else to this little riverfront area. Hopefully over the next couple years, it will be developed a little more!

Sungai Pandan
Sungai Pandan Waterfall is 30 minutes from Kuantan. The falls is popular among local and during weekend for family picnics. The fall ends in a large pool. The water is very cool and refreshing.
